MALUGA PARK

Public BBQ

A linear native bushland park built around a sizeable lake, with plenty of trees, abundant birdlife and people fishing on the water. There is a well-maintained playground with a good range of activities, genuinely advanced outdoor gym equipment, a barbecue with a built-in stove and picnic benches, and space for walkers, joggers, cyclists and picnickers alike. A short trail of around a kilometre suits a quick run. Toilets are provided but sit a long way from the play area, and there is plenty of street parking. Three caveats: there is no lighting, so it gets very dark after sunset; seating is limited enough that bringing your own chair is wise; and litter accumulates faster than it gets cleared.
